Caladh & Kyles

Into The Kyles of Bute

Step back in time and let Dualist carry you in luxury on a purist sailing adventure circumnavigating the beautiful Isle of Bute. Seals, dolphins and nuclear submarines may accompany us on our journey as we sail through some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland.

Go with the wind

There’s lots to see on this adventure, including an opportunity to helm and sail the boat!

We head from the top of Cumbrae across the Firth of Clyde, past Rothesay and Port Banantyne and into the stunning chasm of The Kyles. The journey is steeped in history. You’ll see The Burnt Isles, Wreck Bay and ‘The Maids of Bute’ as we head up to Caladh.

Whilst anchored in Caladh Harbour you’ll be served a gourmet lunch on board, provided by Fins of Fairlie.

We then continue to circumnavigate Bute down the West Kyles. Passing Tighnabruaich, spectacular views of Arran and its ‘Sleeping Warrior’ appear. As we pass the island of Inchmarnock – still guarding the 3,500 year old ‘The Queen of The Inch’ – we will take afternoon tea and scones.

At the southern tip of Bute, we steer a course back to Largs across open water. Dolphins and submarines may accompany us back to port.
